John brings over 30 years of marketing and senior management experience in the media industry. His resume includes founding and serving as executive manager of news, sports and farm radio networks in 3 different states, while also taking leadership positions in these industry's national Associations.
More recently, in 9 years with Metro Networks, Inc., he rose to become Senior Vice President of the News Division for Westwood One with operations in 80 U.S. markets, while guiding the creation and launch of its satellite-delivered newswire, and the accompanying newsroom and wire/audio capture workstation software system - designed specifically for radio and the Internet, building the list of radio affiliates alone to more than 900 nationwide within 3 years. A University of Michigan graduate, Kathy has spent the last 25 years in the world of Radio and Television, not only honing her incredible sales skills, but also, exhibiting her impeccable leadership and Management skills. Her resume includes serving as VP/General Manager of KEDJ, KHOT and KGME, overseeing the entire operations of 3 radio stations. As part of this position, Kathy was responsible for bringing well known shock jock, Howard Stern, to the Valley.
In addition, Kathy spent 8 years as VP/General Manager of PAX TV, having started the station from blueprints in 1998 in its infancy, building it to be one of the jewels of the 62 station PAXSON Television chain. Kathy also owns and operates Media Maven LLC, a media/marketing consultancy firm. Kathy's years of sale experience, coupled with her amazing client relationships both locally and nationally, make her an ideal partner to help build AVI. Douglas is an experienced, highly motivated, marketing, sales and management executive with a 17-year proven sales record, and his abilities with broad-based competencies in: Sales Management, Integrated Marketing, Consultative Sales, Account Management, Customer Relations, and Non-Traditional Revenue Streams (NTR).
Douglas was a VP of Marketing and Sales for Skyview Broadcast Networks, a successful radio news information networks company in Phoenix, Arizona, that was acquired by Metro Networks in 1996 and in 1998 by Westwood One. Douglas was the Southwest Region VP of Sales for Metro Networks / Westwood One. Jim has 30 years in broadcast journalism and management. Following years as broadcast reporter and news director in Chicago and other Midwestern cities at stations owned by Hearst, Mutual, and Tribune, among others, Jim joined Metro Networks, Inc., heading operations of the newly launched Chicago traffic and news operations center.
He later became Vice President-Midwest Regional Operations responsible for 6 cities' operations and affiliate relations operations. He was selected to be Vice President, Operations for the company's development and launch of its unique news wire and audio service for radio stations. He coordinated the local news centers in the company's 70 market operations centers, and the installation and delivery of the computer and software system in those centers along with more than 500 radio stations across the USA. Alexei is an extraordinary designer and developer. He has received degrees from New York University. His experience working on the Internet over the past 12 years comes from performing design and development for such firms as IMIS Corporation, InterNET Computers, Inc., National School Report Services and HomeStore.com.
He has attained Power User or Expert status for several languages including; HTML/DHTML, ASP, CGTI/Perl, Java Script, Java Servelet. He is also an expert in Mac Mac OS X platforms. To date, Alexei qualifies as an expert in software applications such as Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop, Illustrator etc. G?nn?dy has over 10 years of extensive experience in architecture design, development and implementation of complex information systems, including securities trading and depository software; sales, distribution and material management data processing systems; and systems integration solutions.
Patrick has over 15 years of experience in
delivering superior creative solutions for the interactive
medium. Prior to his tenure with AVI, Patrick held senior
creative positions at eBay, Wunderman (Young and Rubicam)
and Organic. His client list covers a wide variety of Fortune
1000 brands, including Compaq, IBM, Citibank, UPS, Apple Computer,
Barnes and Noble, Snapple and AT&T. He was also part of
the launch team for Microsoft’s “Encarta”
interactive encyclopedia in 1992. Patrick received his education
in Design from Pasadena’s renowned Art Center College
of Design.
